About Melissa
What's up?! My name is Melissa Adams. I am just a southern mama trying to raise two little ladies, remember to cook dinner, clean house, and find a little time to wash my hair. Aside from my job at home, I am a local Huntsville photographer that specializes in Families, Children, and Weddings. I have always had a passion for the arts from a small age and took up photography as a hobby during high school. Since then, I have grown to a full time photographer that runs her own business and thrives at building new relationships with lifelong clients.
Raising Little Sisters Photography was created in 2017 when I was looking to do something “for myself” after having my second daughter. The name of my business began as my new Instagram handle once my youngest was born, but soon became more like a way I would describe my life. I chose to name my business after my daughters because they are the biggest joys in my life. I wanted to show them that they can set their mind to something and make dreams a reality; what better way to do so, than to build a business. Raising Little Sisters is no longer just a handle that follows an @, but is my passion. I simply love capturing memories for others and I am grateful to call this my “job”.
Meet the Sisters
Elliot Rae and Emery Jane are two little sisters that steal hearts; I’m not just saying that because I am their mama. They are full of giggles, twirls, and song lyrics. Elliot is seven years old and a proud big sister. She loves to read chapter books with mommy at bedtime, is ambidextrous, and wants to be an artist when she grows up. Emery is six years old, she's shy but is definitely my goofy baby. Even though she is itty bitty, she's fierce and not afraid to let you know who’s boss. She’s my finger sucker, cuddle bug, and the best dancer I know. They compliment one another perfectly. It is so fun to be their mommy!
